Introducing the first-ever Arts Now Organizational Partners
This project builds on the existing structure and content of the Arts Now program while offering new, specialized content tailored to direct service nonprofits. The program model encourages participants to understand their organizations’ role in local decision-making and learn new tools that empower them to establish their own locally driven goals and sustain advocacy work after they have completed the training. In addition to all existing offerings of the Arts Now program, the cohort of direct service nonprofits will receive additional technical assistance and training content about the education system, legislative process, local/state/fed gov authorities, and processes.
- Generation Music & Arts Academy revolves around fostering the holistic development of young individuals through the transformative power of creativity. By providing a platform for artistic exploration, they aim to provide opportunities that ignite passion and curiosity within each young mind, fostering a sense of self-discovery and confidence.
- Museum of Children’s Art uses the arts as a vehicle to advocate for self-expression, culture, and community-building, and the centering of youth voices through hands-on experiential arts education for Bay Area children, youth, and their families, arts integrated Professional Development, and curriculum for educators.
- Destiny Arts Center inspires and ignites social change through the arts. Destiny believes that art and movement gives young people a vehicle for self and community expression. Founded by Black and Queer dance and martial artists in 1988, Destiny uses movement-based arts to uplift youth voices, supporting pathways for young people to express themselves, advocate for justice and equity, fight against the systemic racism that continues to impact Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), and build a community where everyone feels seen, valued, and free.
- Luna Dance Institute brings creativity, equity, and community to every child’s life through the art of dance. Luna works with artists, educators, parents, and others to fulfill this Theory of Change: children embody the future, dance cultivates creativity, and policy sustains equity; which is guided by inquiry into what is possible when an organization is dedicated to defending and furthering children’s freedom.
- Colusa County Arts Council offers county-wide arts programs that enrich our community, nurture artists’ development, provide educational arts programs, and give an artistic voice to the diverse cultures of Colusa County.
- Arts Bridging the Gap uplifts the voices, experiences, and self-expression of youth from under-resourced communities through healing arts programs. Through their work, youth develop interpersonal skills and growth mindsets that enable them to be their best selves in our community.
Upon completion of the training, organizations will receive a grant for participation.
