Tools you need to support the Arts & Music in Schools Act

It is a truly historic moment for arts education in CA! Proposition 28, the Arts & Music in Schools Act, passed by California voters in November 2022, provides PreK-12 schools with ongoing funding to increase arts instruction. The unprecedented investment, approximately $800 million – $1billion annually, is intended to increase equity and access to arts education. Parents, students, teachers, arts organizations and community members – You have a key role to engage with school leaders to ensure funds are used to expand current arts education programming. Arts Education Alliance of the Bay Area, Arts for LA, CA PTA, Create CA and Friends of Sacramento Arts prepared the following communications tools, outreach materials and calls to action to help you connect with school leaders and raise awareness about the opportunities of Proposition 28.
